The Slik 700DX Pro 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head is the head that originally comes supplied with the 700DX tripod. The SLIK Pro cf-734 is a full-size tripod extending to 64.9 inches and folds down to a compact 18.7 inches. Though lightweight (2.9lbs) the cf-734 handles up to 11 lbs. This makes it a great hiking and backpacking tripod to match with advanced enthusiast and professional camera bodies and/or heavy lenses in the field. All 700 series carbon fiber tripods have legs made up of carbon fiber material that is actually comprised of 8 layers of inter-woven carbon strands that are then bonded together in a sealed, high-pressure furnace producing strong, light weight carbon fiber.
The legs also feature a.R.S (anti-rotational system) is designed into the leg locks and do not allow the individual legs sections to rotate inside each other. Each leg also has an independent lock that sets in one 3 angles to vary the height and stance of the tripod. The three setting are for maximum height, waist level or low angle photography close to the ground. The four leg sections are secured and loosened with twist locks. Because the legs are non-rotating, you can unlock all of a leg’s stages at once by twisting the three large rubber grips with one hand. This enables fast setup.

The SLIK MINI PRO DQ uses the successful MINI PRO legs with an all-metal compact ball head that has a quick release plate to make attaching and detaching the camera from the tripod quick and simple. When retracted and closed, the SLIK MINI series tripods are about the size of standard telephoto lens, meaning they can be carried in your camera bag all the time so tripod support is always at hand! Besides its traditional use as a tripod, the SLIK MINI PRO III has another great feature, the ability to use the tripod as a “Chest-Pod” camera support. To use it as a chest-pod, first loosen the locking collar around the center column, pull out (raise) the center column at least one inch and tighten. Then, with the legs spread, place the feet of the legs against your upper chest. Loosen the tripod head and position the camera so you can see through the viewfinder comfortably. This will better stabilize the camera and help avoid image degrading “camera shake.

SLIK’s exclusive A.M.T. super titanium alloy legs make the PRO 700 DX tripod rock steady yet lighter than it looks. The A. M. T. alloy has a 40% greater strength to weight ratio than standard aluminum, meaning the legs are lighter weight yet stronger than the standard metal used in most of today’s tripods.
Using the same quick release system as the PRO 700 DX tripod head, the Slik Ball Head SBH-808 has one of the fasted and easiest quick release plates in the industry. SLIK made a circular quick release plate that can secure the camera to the tripod pointing in any direction, making attaching your camera (once the SLIK quick release plate is attached) more intuitive than most other heads that have squared off or angled plates.
