The Hoya 77mm NXT Circular Polarizer Filter helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. The light from the sun naturally becomes partially polarized due to reflecting off electrons in air molecules, causing the light to scatter into what appears as haze. A polarizing filter arranges, and filters, this directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing for the absorption of much of this light. This results in a noticeable reduction of glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces and an increase in the saturation of skies and foliage.

A circular polarizer only differs from a linear polarizer in that it contains a quarter wave plane in addition to the linear polarizing filter. The addition of this quarter wave plane is to circularly polarize the linearly polarized light for the use of auto focus and exposure functions. Due to how the light is broken down and filtered with a linear polarizer, auto focus and exposure accuracy become skewed during use. When the light becomes circularly polarized, it permits the use of these functions.

Here is what you get:

• Hoya 77mm NXT Circular Polarizer Filter
• Limited 1-Year Warranty

Product Highlights

• Helps to Eliminate Reflections and Glare
• Non-Coated
• Reduces Haze in Landscapes
• Greater Color and Tonal Saturation
• High-Transparency Optical Glass

The black HD Pentax DA 35mm f/2.8 Macro Limited Lens from Pentax is a prime normal-length lens providing a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 53.5mm. Its macro designation enables a 1:1 magnification ratio for creating life-size imagery as close as 5.5" away. A high-grade multi-layer HD coating has been applied to lens elements to help minimize flare and ghosting for enhanced contrast, clarity, and color fidelity and a nine-blade diaphragm contributes to an aesthetic out-of-focus quality to benefit shallow depth of field imagery. Additionally, an SP Protect coating has also been applied to the front lens element to effectively protect it from dirt, oil, and fingerprints.

The compact form-factor of this lens integrates Pentax's Quick-Shift Focus System, which allows manual focus control over the lens at any time, even in AF mode, for precise handling over the focal plane.

• EDGE-TO-EDGE SHARPNESS: The constant f/2.8 aperture lens provides excellent edge-to-edge sharpness and resolution

Description

The Tokina ATX-i 11-16mm f/2.8 CF is re-designed for an improved user experience and better image quality. The constant f/2.8 aperture lens provides excellent edge-to-edge sharpness and resolution. The lens’ optical design reduces flare and ghosting, while maintaining excellent contrast and color. A new waterproof top coat also makes it easier to clean. It is perfect for architectural, landscape, astrophotographers, and cinematographers.

Ideal Choice for Gimbal Work

Popular among cinematographers too, because the lens provides a wide cinematic feel, minimized breathing, no edge distortion while panning, and the overall weight and internal focus design makes it an ideal choice for gimbal work.

One-Touch Focus Clutch Mechanism

The One-Touch Focus Clutch Mechanism makes switching from AF to manual focus (MF) simple. While in AF mode the user only needs to snap the focus ring back toward the camera to engage real manual focus control. This gives photographers an authentic tactile MF feel with hard stops on either side of the focus range like traditional manual lenses. Additionally, the directional rotation of the focus ring matches the direction of proprietary Nikon lenses.

Lens Design

The Tokina ATX-i 11-16mm f/2.8 CF incorporates a complex optical design, with 13 elements in 11 groups. Using two aspherical lenses including a large aspherical P-MO element and two all-glass molded Low-Dispersion (SD) elements, the lens effectively suppresses chromatic and spherical aberrations. The front element provides super-low distortion and low light fall-off for straight lines and minimal exposure vignetting.
