Q&A
I want put a slider onto the tripod and it requires me taking off the fluid head to put on the slider, How do I remove the fluid head?
How does your slider attach? The FM18 head has a 1/4 20 and a 3/8 16 thread on its own quick release plate. If you need to remove the head you must unscrew the rubber handle which hangs between the legs. Once this is remove the head can be removed with the ball claw attached to it. There will be some allen screws on the bottom of the ball claw... you can also remove these if necessary.

What is the size of the screw that attaches the camera to the quick release plate; 1/4 or a 3/8 ?
The screw is the standard tripod mount, 1/4 - 20. (1/4 inch, 20 thread per inch). Hope this helps. It's a great tripod.

The rubber feet of the tripod is appropriate for use on the ground or in the sand?
This tripod will work well on firm ground. If you are using it in the mud or sand I would recommend placing it on something to keep it out of the mud or sand. You can use small squares of plywood, floor tiles also work well. This will keep your tripod stable and clean.
